I couldn't figure out why it crapped all over. I was thinking it may have been just an over compensation to being overbought, and it tripped people's stops who may have had them pretty tight, then just snowballed. As the market moves downward, I add to my position; as the market moves up, I buy farther OTM LEAP puts for way, way cheap premiums. I do the same thing with calls, as well. The net result is very well-hedged positions manifested in bull put and bear call, respectively, credit spreads. In this volatile, channel-trading market, I am doing well by selling OTM LEAP puts.
