There’s no one who understands Collaborative Consumption and Social Capital better than Rachel Botsman. I talk about those two things on this blog a lot, not because they are the topic de jure, but because they are truly the deep seismic shifts taking place in our economy and society right now. Facebook is a tiny little dot on the map compared to these trends. Facebook will eventually be seen as the first way that most people discovered the social web, and a relic that provides little value soon.
