Mazel Tov StockTwits Ehh

Howard Lindzon is one of the funniest guys I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet and I’m so stoked to be working with StockTwits.  Tuesday was amazing as the whole StockTwits team went down to the NASDAQ market site in Time Square and rang the closing bell.  We also had the chance to meet 20+ members of the StockTwits community, hear their ideas and share stories.  The trading community is filled with such interesting people from all walks of life and with different personalities.  I was even bear hugged (more like mauled) by Doug who’s Twitter handle is @wsmco.  That dude is larger than life in every way, and completely awesome.

Being a huge hockey fan it was also great to share some banter with Howard and a few of his friends from Phoenix.  I don’t know what it is about Canadians that make them so engaging, in and outside of hockey I have a lot of Canadian friends for some reason.

StockTwits has a shot at changing the financial media landscape.  I won’t rant here about why, but believe that it’s a real possibility.  The team at StockTwits is amazing, all the way from Howard, Soren, Mike and Phil, to the Genevate crew, and everyone else.  I also can’t thank Phil Pearlman enough for giving me the opportunity to be part of the crew there.  Not only are these guys smart, but they are deserving of all their success for being genuinely great people.  So Mazel Tov to StockTwits, hopefully we’ll be back at the NASDAQ for the StockTwits IPO someday.
